IMAGE Misson Status
Communication with the IMAGE spacecraft
seized in the morning hours of 18 December 2005. After failed recovery efforts,
the mission has officially ended (see NASA
press release).
Data analysis, publication, and data & software archiving
efforts will continue throughout 2006.
The MENA team is committed to providing long-term online
plotting and data access to the magnetospheric community beyond the end of the
IMAGE mission. The MENA website will remain online and maintained at least as
long as the NASA TWINS mission is active. This will provide the community with
long-term data access to medium energy neutral atom measurements from
near-identical sensors for hopefully up to a full solar cycle.
